Hazardous/Health Care Treatment
Waste Water Treatment & Recovery System | Waste Handling Equipment
In a study conducted, IWMI found out that there was no proper collection and disposal of hazardous biomedical wastes. The general practice was so alarming that the government has to adopt some urgent measures to put an end to this indiscriminate disposal of hazardous waste. Biomedical wastes, particularly hospital waste pose great risk to the environment because they are direct sources of infectious and communicable diseases. In 1991, IMWI saw the need to address the disposal and treatment of biomedical waste. The company introduced incinerator to address this problem. Thereafter, in 1995, the company purchased and operated a Mobile Incinerator to cater to pharmaceutical wastes. Bio-in system involves the operation of an incinerator for the disposal of biomedical waste generated by hospital and healthcare facilities.
